AnsambliKreshnikët

„Tradita s’flet, ajo vallëzon.“

“Tradition does not speak – it dances.”

  • Dance ensemble
  • Kreshniket e.V., Wuppertal
  • 4 trainers
  • Children, teens & adults

Who they are

“We preserve what connects us” – guided by this motto, Ansambli Kreshnikët brings Albanian folk dances, music and traditional costumes to the stage. The ensemble is run by the association Kreshniket e.V. in Wuppertal and describes itself as the largest Albanian ensemble in Germany.

At its heart are four trainers who danced for years in renowned ensembles in Albania and Kosovo and hold professional coaching licences in Germany. Their aim goes beyond choreography: anyone who dances with Kreshnikët should feel the rhythm, the history and the soul of Albanian culture. That is why the ensemble sees itself not as a dance group but as a family that connects hearts, cultures and generations.

Three groups, one path

Every age is welcome – from children to adults who want to bring back childhood memories. The path leads through three groups:

Fidanët

The “seedlings”: children and beginners discover the world of traditional Albanian dance.

Rehearsals: Sunday, 10 am–12 pm

Fisnikët

The starting point for anyone without dance experience: basic steps, rhythm, harmony – and a love of Albanian culture.

Rehearsals: Tuesday, 6–8 pm, and Sunday, 12–2 pm

Kreshnikët

The heart and soul of the ensemble: experienced dancers who represent it at festivals, weddings and cultural events.

Rehearsals: Tuesday, 6–8 pm, and Sunday, 2–4 pm

Rehearsal times according to kreshniket.de, as of October 2026.

Albanien Shop × Kreshnikët

We share the same conviction: tradition only stays alive if it is lived – on stage, in everyday life and in the next generation. Kreshnikët does it through dance, we do it with plis, traditional costumes and instruments from Albania and Kosovo. We are proud to have the ensemble by our side.
