To make sure your costume fits, we check every order against the measurements you enter before shipping. If an item is too tight, we'll get in touch with you.

How to measure
  • Height: Without shoes, from the top of the head to the floor.
  • Weight: Your current body weight – it helps us judge the fit.
  • Waist: Around the body where the trousers, apron or sash should sit.

Ideally, have someone else measure you – directly on the body, in underwear or close-fitting clothes.

A little room is fine Traditional costume pieces are cut generously. If an item has some room, you can have it taken in yourself by a tailor of your choice – an item that is too tight can hardly be altered. If in doubt, choose the larger size.

The Shoka is the woven sash of the Albanian men's traditional costume – here in a version made for boys. With its colourful woven pattern, our children's Shoka from the Prizren line brings the typical colours of the costume to the waist.

Occasions

Your child can wear the Shoka to Albanian weddings (dasma), on Flag Day, Dita e Flamurit (28 November), at traditional family celebrations and at cultural and folklore events.
